The site - www.myislandtown.com -- combines elements of an e-magazine and blog to create a forum that allows visitors to view articles, news items, videos and photography to learn about life on Daniel Island. It's a fun and informative site that is designed for residents, businesses and visitors to Charleston's island town.

The new site covers news and feature stories that fall within one of six categories: Community, Sports, Nature & The Outdoors, Around Town, Home & Garden, and Culture. A sampling of the site's content includes: - Articles about upcoming events and new island businesses - Photo galleries showcasing images from island residents and other contributors - Golf tips from the Daniel Island Club's teaching professional - Recipes from island restaurants - A "Healthy Living" series, with articles from the island's many health and fitness professionals - Island school news from student contributors - A guide to Daniel Island's shops and restaurants - A list of upcoming Charleston area events
